  The dairy of Bühl

Cheese Dairy Bühl dates from the 20th century and is situated in the commune of Oberschrot, only a few meters from it's neighbouring Commune of Plaffeien. Sited in this Commune is part of the region of Lac Noir, an area renowned for its magnificent lake closely surrounded by the Alpes.

For the past century the milk producers of Plaffeien have worked together, but since 1998 have been successfully joined by a second village - Brünisried - lying 5 km to the north. In the same year, very substantial investments in building and modernisation of equipment were made in the cheese dairy.
Consequently, the highest standards are maintained at the cheese dairy Bühl, while at the same time traditional recipes are preserved.
  The dairy of Wengliswil

  Some statistics
  Quality: "The golden rule"

Cheese making takes place with respect to tradition and is distinguished by unbeatable quality. As the enterprise is of artisan proportion, it is possible to follow each step from pasture to animal husbandry, to farmer, to transport, to the finished product and ensures perfect quality control.
This quality concept is based on ISO 9000 and under the strict ruling of AOC Gruyere.
The herds feed on the finest alpine pastures containing a rich variety of grasses and flowers - the flavour of which enters our cheeses to give them their unique taste. No silage feed is authorised for our products.
